In an easygoing city where everything seems low-key, it was once a place rife with rumors about strange phenomena happening here and there. As the city developed, those rumors were forgotten. Universities, hospitals, and shopping districts sprouted up, leaving its infamous past behind.

Until one day, two university students, Nex and Mayu, stumbled onto the wrong side of luck and got their first taste of surviving an anomaly attack. With help from a mysterious stranger, they received cards imbued with exorcism powers, leading them toward their destiny as anomaly investigators.
